So it looks like MSN and not Microsoft (yeah right. Like they are different) is the culprit here. Something they have changed is causing GAIM to crash upon connecting to the MSN network. Turning MSN off, and just staying with Sametime and AIM works fine!!
Back to MSN Messenger for the time being!
The WLM (as MSN is now known) team have been jigging the protocol quite a lot recently as they’re working to get Yahoo interoperability at the moment. It’ll take a while but I’m sure GAIM will catch up 😉
ah right. That’s quite interesting. So it’s actually Microsoft workin for open standards. Well open between two propreitary standards 🙂
